Commissioned for the Pearl Exhibition in 2013 at Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
Made from white and black nephrite jade, strung onto a Maceamé silk cord that allows the braid to change shape as it is made. The silk has to be changed every 2-3 inches to avoid the silk becoming worn from the repeated knotting. Each jade piece is hollow to allow the silk to be renewed.
